Terms of Service

Last updated September 29, 2026

These terms govern your use of RaceGoat (racegoat.com), a race registration platform operated by Dead Reckoning Labs, Inc. (ā€œDRLā€, ā€œweā€). By registering for a race or creating an account, you agree to them.

Who does what

Each race on RaceGoat is put on by an independent race organizer (for example, Aravaipa Running). The organizer runs the event: the course, the rules, safety, results and refunds. DRL provides the registration platform and processes your payment as the seller of record on the organizer’s behalf. We are not the event organizer and do not supervise or control events.

Registering

You agree to give accurate information, including your legal name, birthdate and an emergency contact who has agreed to be listed. Entries are personal to the runner named on them. If you register someone else, including a minor, you confirm you are authorized to do so. A parent or legal guardian must register and sign for any runner under 18.

Prices, fees and taxes

The price shown before you pay is the total you are charged: the entry price set by the organizer, any add-ons, a RaceGoat service fee, and applicable sales tax. The service fee covers payment processing and the platform; the organizer receives the full entry price. Prices can change over the registration window; you pay the price in effect when you register.

Holds and payment

Starting checkout holds your spot for a limited time. If payment is not completed before the hold expires, the spot is released. Your registration is confirmed only when payment succeeds. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Refunds, transfers and changes

DRL does not decide or issue refunds. Each organizer sets and applies its own refund, transfer and deferral policy, shown on the race page, and requests go to the organizer. An approved refund is processed through RaceGoat to your original card. See our Refund Policy. For payment problems, please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank.

Waivers and assumption of risk

Racing involves real risks, including injury, illness and death. You will sign the organizer’s waiver during registration; it is an agreement between you and the organizer. Your typed signature, with its date, time and IP address, is a binding electronic signature under the ESIGN Act and UETA.

Public results and entrant lists

Like most races, registered entrants and results are published. Entrant lists show your name, general location, division and age group; results add your placing and performance. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Your account

Your RaceGoat login also works on Obsession, DRL’s training app. Keep your credentials secure and do not share your account. You may not access other people’s registrations, scrape the site, interfere with its operation, or use it for anything unlawful.

Text messages

If you opt in to race-day text updates, you agree to receive automated messages about your race at the number you provide. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Opting in is never required to register.

Limitation of liability

RaceGoat is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DRL is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for anything that happens at an event, or for an organizer’s acts or omissions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to DRL for the registration involved.

Changes

We may update these terms and will post the new date above. Material changes that affect an existing registration will be emailed to you. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.
