About this event
The North Fork 50 Mile and 50K is a gem of an ultramarathon in the Colorado mountains just southwest of Denver. The course is 100% soft surface, almost entirely incredible singletrack with a few short sections of double track road. Climb through open burn areas from the 1996 fire, then dive back into the ponderosa pines and wind around towering granite rock formations.
The 50 Mile starts at 6:00 AM and the 50K at 7:00 AM from the Buffalo Creek clubhouse. Aid stations include Colorado Trail (water only), Kelsey Campground, Shinglemill, Tramway, Buffalo, Rolling Creek and Homestead, and crews can meet runners at Buffalo aid.
